The range

Bought on the extract,
not on the promise.

Ashwagandha, lion’s mane, saffron, collagen, curcumin, rhodiola. The best-selling botanicals in the country, and we will mix any of them into your jar at the dose you want.

Every one is named in full, so you know what you are buying. KSM-66 root only. Fruiting body rather than mycelium. Meriva phytosome, because plain curcumin barely absorbs. Those distinctions are the entire difference between a good botanical and a cheap one, and they are all on the label.

Where a claim exists we show it exactly as written, with its number and the trial behind it, so you can weigh the claim and the evidence together rather than take our word for either.

Add any of them. We will tell you how they are taken and what to watch for, and we will refuse outright if they clash with something you have told us.

Ashwagandha

Withania somnifera

600mg

KSM-66, root only, 5% withanolides

Organic KSM-66 root extract, standardised to 5% withanolides, root only, at the full 600mg used in the published work. The most researched ashwagandha there is, at the grade the research actually used.

What we may say · on hold, claim 4194

“Helps the body to deal with stress.”

Filed for Withania somnifera ROOT and reproduced word for word. We quote permitted wording exactly rather than paraphrasing it, which is what keeps it usable.

What that rests on

Chandrasekhar, Kapoor & Anishetty (2012), Indian Journal of Psychological Medicine

Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled. 64 adults, 60 days. Serum cortisol fell 27.9% against 7.9% on placebo (p=0.0006).

Trial dose 600mg KSM-66 daily, taken as 300mg twice. Ours is the same.

How it is taken

Taken with food, usually in the evening. Conventionally cycled rather than taken continuously.

Cycled 8 weeks on, 4 off. We pause it for you and start it again automatically.

What to watch for

Rare cases of liver injury have been reported, typically 2 to 12 weeks after starting. Stop and see a doctor if you notice jaundice, dark urine or persistent itching. Avoid entirely with existing liver disease. The Food Standards Agency is currently reviewing ashwagandha in supplements.

L-theanine

Camellia sinensis derived

200mg

Suntheanine, 98% pure

Suntheanine at 98% purity, 200mg. The branded Japanese form rather than a generic blend, and it dissolves clean with no aftertaste.

How it is taken

Taken any time of day. No cycling convention.

What to watch for

Well tolerated at typical doses. Little long-term safety data.

Rhodiola

Rhodiola rosea

576mg

SHR-5, 3% rosavins

SHR-5 Arctic root, standardised to 3% rosavins, at the full 576mg used in the published work rather than the 400mg the category rounds down to. Grown at altitude and harvested for the compound rather than the yield.

What we may say · on hold, claim 2659

“helps organism to adapt for emotional stress, physical effort”

Filed for extract of rhodolia (Rhodiola rosea) and reproduced word for word. We quote permitted wording exactly rather than paraphrasing it, which is what keeps it usable.

What that rests on

Olsson, von Schéele & Panossian (2009), Planta Medica

Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group. 60 adults with stress-related fatigue, 28 days. Reduced cortisol response to awakening and improved ability to concentrate.

Trial dose 576mg SHR-5 daily. Ours is the same.

How it is taken

Taken in the morning. Conventionally cycled.

Cycled 6 weeks on, 2 off. We pause it for you and start it again automatically.

What to watch for

Can be stimulating. Not usually taken late in the day.

Curcumin

Curcuma longa

500mg

Meriva phytosome, for absorption

Meriva phytosome at 500mg, curcumin bound to phospholipid so your body can actually absorb it. Plain curcumin passes through largely unused, which is why the delivery system is the product.

How it is taken

Taken with food containing fat. Poorly absorbed without a delivery system.

What to watch for

Can cause digestive upset at higher doses. Rare reports of liver injury.

Lion's Mane

Hericium erinaceus

1000mg

Fruiting body, 30% polysaccharides

Organic fruiting body dual extract, standardised to 30% polysaccharides, 1000mg, with the extraction ratio on the label. Fruiting body only, which is the part worth paying for.

How it is taken

Taken with food. No conventional cycling pattern.

What to watch for

Avoid if you have a known mushroom allergy.

Saffron

Crocus sativus

28mg

Affron, 3.5% lepticrosalides

Organic Persian saffron, affron standardised to 3.5% lepticrosalides, at 28mg. The most valuable spice on earth by weight, and every lot carries its own certificate of analysis.

What we may say · on hold, claim 2038

“Helps to maintain a positive mood.”

Filed for Crocus sativus L. (Common name : Synonym : C. officinalis Martyn) and reproduced word for word. We quote permitted wording exactly rather than paraphrasing it, which is what keeps it usable.

What that rests on

Kell et al. (2017), Complementary Therapies in Medicine

Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, three arms. 128 adults with low mood, 4 weeks. Mood improved at 28mg (p<0.001). The 22mg arm showed no effect against placebo.

Trial dose 28mg affron daily. Ours is the same.

How it is taken

Taken with food, consistently rather than cycled.

What to watch for

Ours is a standardised extract with a certificate of analysis for every lot, so the strength is verified rather than assumed.

Type I and III, Bioactive 2000 Da

Hydrolysed bovine peptides, type I and III, at 2000 daltons and 2500mg. Small enough to dissolve completely, with no grit and no taste. Pairs with vitamin C, which carries the authorised claim “contributes to normal collagen formation”.

What to watch for

Harmlessly discolours urine.

Everything here is sold on its stated extract, standardisation and dose. Nothing on this page carries an authorised health claim in Great Britain, and nothing here is a recommendation. Quoted claims are Article 13(1) claims listed as on hold in Article 13(1) 'on hold' health claims, Department of Health and Social Care, 31 December 2020. On-hold claims may be used only where the plant part, wording and conditions of use match the entry as filed, and only where the business can substantiate them. CAP advises seeking DHSC advice before use, and none of this wording goes to a printed label until that advice is in. Usage and safety information is not a health claim. Contraindications are enforced by the same exclusion layer that governs the core blend and cannot be overridden. The Food Standards Agency is currently reviewing ashwagandha in food supplements. Doses and contraindications shown are draft and pending review by a registered nutritionist.
